Herbert Edward Harford (Herbie) was born today at 1.59pm, at home, weighing 9lb 8oz. He gave us quite a shock at first with a putty-grey colour and an extended refusal to breathe. It didn't take long before he was flourishing, though - as was Fran.
Stella and Africa are delighted and have to be dissuaded from prodding him and kissing him at every opportunity.
